Strength in prayer; SUNACRW starts a prayer list

It was decided at the August 2011 to form a prayer list/group through SUNACRW.  President Bush noting that, “We’re a prayerful nation. I believe that makes us a strong nation.” Harking back to President George Washington, Bush recalled that, “It’s the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and to humbly implore his protection and favor.”

Christena Harder as agreed to be the Chair of this important committee.  If you have a prayer request, please email it to her at charder1@ptd.net.  A prayer request list will be sent monthly to paid members.

Honorable Patrick Henry to entertain and challenge us with a timeless message of freedom from our Founding Fathers. Patrick Henry (Mr. Michael Harrison) was known as the “Voice of Liberty” will speak at the Union County GOP picnic.

Presidential candidate, John Davis will also visit the Union County Republican Committee annual summer picnic on Thursday August 11, 2011  at Mifflinburg Park pavilion #2.

Please bring a dish to share.  Meat, paper products, and drinks will be provided.  The meal begins at 6:30 PM.  Bring the whole family!

This Saturday, August 6, 2011 is The Response: A Call to Prayer For a Nation in Crisis at Reliant Stadium (indoors) in Houston. Governor Rick Perry has invited the entire nation and the other 49 governors to join him in this Joel 2 solemn assembly. Don’t miss this opportunity to participate in such an historic event.

If you are unable to attend in person, you can still register to participate by praying at home or facilitating a “live streaming” event at your church or place of worship. Join with thousands of Americans and numerous other spiritual and political leaders from across the nation, including Governor Paul LePage (Maine), Governor Bob McDonnell (Virginia), Governor Sam Brownback (Kansas), and Rick Scott (Florida) in supporting this momentous event.
