The Believer’s Guide to Legal Issues is a book written by PA State Representative Stephen Bloom. Each chapter highlights everyday situations and how a believer verses a non-believe might handle the situation In reading this book, it is great to know that there are still lawyers in today’s age honoring God and leading people towards Christian values rather than trying to make a dollar. Irene highly recommends reading this book.
“There are few subjects Jesus addresses so directly and bluntly as the matter of paying taxes. And the perspective of Jesus, the genuine “Christian perspective” if ever there was one, is simple: Pay the taxes you owe. And it’s repeated in three of the four gospels. There is no question that the law and Christian teaching, the teaching of Jesus himself, are perfectly aligned on this issue.”
“Yet many Christians inexplicably seem to struggle with honesty and full compliance when it comes to paying taxes. And some Christians continue to dance around the issue of taxes almost as if they believe there is an entirely separate standard of morality that applies, as if the distinction between lies and truth mysteriously evaporates in the realm of taxation.” To read more, see The Believer’s Guide to Legal Issues
