SUNACRW and RWRG join together to help Clouse Family

SUN Area Council of Republican Women is collecting donations of non-perishable food items, consumable household products and retail gift cards for the Ted and Janelle Clouse family who lost 7 of their children in a devastating farmhouse fire on Wednesday evening in rural Perry County.

In addition SUNACRW is partnering with our sister council, Perry County Republican Women for Responsible Government, to provide meals for the farm and cleanup crews in the next weeks and hold a fundraising event.

Anyone who would like to donate items may contact Carolyn Conner at 570-768-6862 or Irene Harris at 570-374-0876.

SUN Area Council of Republican Women invite you to their December meeting

The SUN Area Council of Republican Women invite you to join them for their December meeting.  You need not be a member, come out and join us; our meeting will be laid back and relaxing and a time for fellowship and reflection.  The December 2010 meeting will be held at Hoss’s Steak House on routes 11 & 15 in Shamokin Dam, Pa at 6:30 pm on 12/2/2010. Each person attending will be responsible for his/her own meal costs and is asked to bring one or two new people with them. (We have men as associate members, and they are welcome to join us also.)

We have also decided that we will be taking donations for the Women’s Expectation Center (formally the Pregnancy Care Center).  A very brief business meeting will be held following the meal.

Bring a friend and we hope you can join us.  Please RSVP to me so we have an idea of the number attending. (rockstargop@verizon.net)

Have a Merry Christmas!

Note: For 2011 the SUN Area Council of Republican Women will be focusing our efforts more on advocacy.  We have won back the seats, now it is time to hold everyone in office accountable and be an advocate on votes coming before our legislatures and a voice as to how we want them to vote.
