Dorothy Kabis Memorial Summer Internship applications due by May 3, 2013
The NFRW’s Dorothy Kabis Memorial Internship allows young women who are 21 years of age and at least a Junior in college – they must not have graduated from college – to live in the D.C. area during the summer and work in the NFRW office in Alexandria, Virginia. Those chosen live in college dorms in Georgetown, travel daily on the D.C. metro to and from the NFRW office, and have the opportunity to not only work with staff in the NFRW office but to also accompany them to meetings and events on the Hill, etc. Interns have their round-trip airfare paid, along with the costs of their dorm, and are given a small stipend. The interns must pay for their own meals, daily travel to and from the office and any sight-seeing/tourist activities.
Each summer there are three openings for this internship and we have extended the application deadline until May 3, 2013, in the hope that you will identify a qualified young woman and assist her in completing the application. The application can be found on the NFRW website under the “Programs” category.
Please assist us in identifying and forwarding to us the application of a qualified young woman for this summer’s Dorothy Kabis Memorial Internship program.
