How will you help in choosing the next leaders of our country, state, and municipality?

We are often told, “I don’t vote, I just pray and let God choose the candidates/legislators.” Really? God placed you in such a time as this, in a free country, with a Representative Republic, as a form of government, and you are going to only pray? God does require prayer, and that is most important, but God also requires action. 

Let us look back to the story of the Walls of Jericho in Joshua 5:13-6:27 Could God have taken down the walls with only prayer? Of course He could had. But he also required action.

Prayer is the most important part of the the USA’s 2024 Elections, but it also takes action. Are you registered to vote? It not, prayerfully consider registering. Register to Vote!

Brief Notes from PLC –

Ken Blackwell, Family Research Council.  He wrote the book  RESURGENT: How Constitutional Conservatism Can Save American. “Ronald Reagan is back and this time he is black.”

Mother said there are three important books (not in order)

  1. Date book – how spend time and who with
  2. Checkbook – tells how you spend you money not matter how much or meager
  3. Good book keeps on path of conviction than than path of convenience

Dad added fourth book; although mother argued not a book – the constitution (We are all equal to the image God created us; your human rights are not a gift from government, but a gift from God.)

  1. Hebrew 12 verse 1 – cloud of witnesses watching how we run the race
  2. Psalms 11 verse 3 if the foundations are being destroyed
  3. John 3, those who would like to do evil love the darkness

Our country has come through great challenges before, the question is will we rise up now when once again American is being challenged. Do we have the will. In this democracy it means willing elections.

 

Correction to movie theatre number . . .

Susquehanna Valley Conservatives issue correction –

The correct number to call at the Lycoming Mall to encourage them to show The Christmas Candle is 570-546-2475. Using this number you should be able speak to a live person who will take your message. The other number, 570-546-2437, is a recording.

The 570-374-2049 number at the Susquehanna Mall gives you starting times of current movies. If anyone has a telephone number that allows you to speak with a staff member at the theatre please let me know. Thank you.
