Rep. Keller and SUN Area Dairy Princess Dawn Franck to Celebrate National Cheese Month

MIFFLINBURG – Rep. Fred Keller (R-Union/Snyder) and SUN Area Dairy Princess Dawn Franck invite residents of Union and Snyder counties to join them for a Cheese Break in celebration of National Cheese Month.

The Cheese Break will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, at Keller’s district office within the Mifflinburg Government Center, located at 343 Chestnut St. The office is located in Suite 1.

“Agriculture is the No. 1 industry in Pennsylvania, with dairy production making up the largest segment of that industry,” Keller said. “I encourage residents to drop by my district office at their convenience, even if individuals can only stay for a couple of minutes. The Cheese Break is an excellent opportunity for people to recognize the importance of agriculture.”

The Cheese Break will feature a variety of local cheeses as well as other favorites made from cheese and milk. Recipes booklets will also be available for the foods served as well as for other family recipes.

“During my term as SUN Area Dairy Princess, I would like to raise awareness about the dairy industry and the impact milk and other dairy products have on all our lives,” Franck said. “This is an excellent opportunity to not only learn about the dairy industry and have some delicious snacks, but also to get one of your three recommended servings of dairy for the day.”

If you wish to attend this free event, please RSVP by Tuesday, Oct. 25, by calling Keller’s office at (570) 966-0052 or (570) 837-0052 or by e-mailing Benjamin Ranck at branck@pahousegop.com.
