2011 PA Leadership Conference Panels Announced

Four interactive panel discussions to be presented at conference

 

Harrisburg, PA – The 2011 Pennsylvania Leadership Conference, to be held April 8th and 9th at the Radisson Penn Harris Convention Center in Camp Hill (Harrisburg), will feature four interactive panel presentations including Path to A Better Pennsylvania; Curbing Union Power; School: It’s Your Choice and TEA Time: Effective Grassroots Activism. The panels will be interactive, with conference participants having the opportunity to submit questions to panelists.

In addition to the panel presentations, a pre-conference campaign training workshop and a pre-conference workshop on the U.S. Constitution taught by the Constitutional Organization for Liberty will be held on Friday morning, April 8th; and a Blogger Conference sponsored by Americans for Prosperity will be held following the conference on Saturday afternoon, April 9th.

Mark the date – School Choice Town Hall

The Union County Republican Committee is hosting a town hall with State Senator Anthony Williams (D-8) co-sponsor of S.B. 1, The Opportunity Scholarship Act, on Tuesday March 22 at 7 p.m. in the Lewisburg High School Auditorium.  Please plan to attend and invite your neighbors and friends.

The U.C.R.C. unanimously approved a resolution calling for passage of S.B.1 at its February 17th meeting.

Due to the heavy volume of registrations, the “Early Bird” registration rates have been extended until midnight, March 8th.

Mifflin County Young Republicans Dinner/Meeting/Social

The Mifflin County Young Republicans are kicking off the 2011 year of events with a Dinner, Short Meeting, and Ice Skating Social on Saturday, February 26th.

Dinner and the Meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the Downtown OIP & Grille on Market Street in Lewistown and should last until about 7 p.m. They  will then be car pooling to State College to go Ice Skating at 8 p.m. at the Penn State Ice Pavilion.

This is a “bring a friend” event, so please ask a friend to come with you. It doesn’t matter if you or your friend isn’t hardcore into politics, or if you haven’t done much in politics before, this is a perfect time to meet some Young Republicans and see what we do in Mifflin County.
