Susquehanna Valley Conservatives announce February 11, 2013 meeting

Susquehanna Valley Conservatives is pleased to welcome Lewisburg native, Johanna Persing, as the speaker for their next meeting, Monday, February 11 at 7:00PM at the Baylor East Conference Room in the Best Western Country Cupboard Inn, Lewisburg.

Johanna is a Lewisburg High School graduate and a 2011 graduate of Gettysburg College where she majored in Political Science and Religion. While at Gettysburg College, she participated in the Eisenhower Institute’s Inside Politics program when she developed a love for a career in politics and Washington, D.C. Upon graduation from Gettysburg, Johanna moved to Washington and began an internship with the Republican National Committee in the Press Office where she was eventually hired as a Press Assistant. During the 2012 election cycle she was able to see firsthand the inner workings and the role of the RNC in the Republican primary process and the National Convention as well as the day to day communications strategy of the Romney Presidential Campaign. In addition to her interest in American and international politics, Johanna enjoys taking advantage of the sights and activities Washington, D.C has to offer.

As a young conservative staff member, Johanna will share her perspective as to what it is like to work inside the RNC. She will address the following topics:

How did she get there?

What was her role with the RNC during the last election?

What will be her role going forward?

How do we get the youth involved?

The meeting is free and the public is invited to attend.
